Configuring Multiple Custom Domains

Last Updated on Jul 16, 2013
You can use up to 5 different custom domain names on a single Virb site. Just follow the steps below.

1. Set up your primary domain.
To use multiple domain names, you must first connect to a primary domain following the step-by-step instructions here. This will be the domain where all other (secondary) domains will redirect.

2. Set up secondary domain(s).
Once your primary domain is connected, edit the zone file for any secondary domains and create/edit the A Records to point to 64.207.128.132. You will want to reference our full domain set-up instructions if you need to learn more about editing your A Records.

3. Add your additional domain(s).
Once your A Records are set up, go to your Settings Tab in Virb, click "Another Domain," and enter your secondary domain(s).

That's it! Once DNS propagation has completed, you will have a fully functional multiple domain setup. DNS propagation can take 24 to 48 hours to completeOnce propagated, your secondary domains will redirect traffic to your primary domain (the first one you set up).

Note: Please do NOT set up domain forwarding with your domain name hosting provider if you plan to use the multiple custom domain method here.
